Job description:
International Research Centre for Telecommunications and Radar by the
Delft University of Technology performs internationally recognized
research and developments in the area of UWB radar. This includes
development of Ground Penetrating Radars (GPR) and UWB through-wall
imaging radars. Due to start of a number of new projects in this area
we open a PostDoc position on UWB antenna development.
Demands:
the researcher should have a PhD degree in electrical engineering or
physics and should have at least 3years research experience in the
field of UWB antenna development and applied electromagnetics.
Preference is given to those, who have knowledge and practical
experience with transient and GPR antennas. The candidate should have
experience of team work in R&D projects and abilities to project
management. The duties include
- design, realization and experimental verification of UWB antennas for different radar applications,
- everyday supervision of Ph.D. and M.Sc. students,
- lecturing / giving instructions in M.Sc. courses,
- everyday management of projects,
- project reports preparation.
The
researcher should have open personality and good language skills in
order to closely cooperate with other team members, students, partners
within the project and write project documents. He(she) should be a
team player aiming to successful accomplishment of the projects.
Job conditions:
the researcher will be paid according to the salary scale 11 of the
Dutch Universities (bruto monthly salary from 3800 to 4500 Euros
depending on previous work experience). In addition to the regular
salary, an accepted candidate will receive a standard packet of
financial benefits according to CAO of Dutch Universities.
