30th ESA Antenna Workshop on Antennas for Earth Observation, Science, Telecommunication and Navigation Space Missions
Innovation and Challenges
27 - 30 May 2008
Location: Noordwijk, The Netherlands
The Antennas and Sub-Millimeter Waves Section of the Electromagnetic Division together with the Structures Section of the Directorate of Technical and Quality and Management (DTEC) at ESTEC organises the 30th ESA Antenna Workshop.
The Workshop will be held from May 27th to 30th, 2007 at the European Space Research and Technology Centre (ESTEC) in Noordwijk, The Netherlands. The Workshop will be organised with oral parallel sessions and round table discussions. A dedicated area will be available for poster presentations.
TOPICS OF INTEREST
Abstracts of original papers are solicited for inclusion in the workshop programme. They shall clearly identify the object of the proposed papers and highlight the underlying advances, recent developments and innovation.
Antenna systems concepts, innovative technology designs and developments, as well as modelling/testing/validation procedures are solicited addressing, but not limited to:
1. Feed and array fed reflector antennas.
2. Advanced reflector technologies (large aperture, polarisation and frequency sensitive reflectors, antenna deployment and pointing mechanisms).
3. Advanced structure concepts (incl. highly stable and low mass adaptive ones).
4. Low mass and highly stable antenna structures.
5. Interferometric, synthetic aperture antenna systems.
6. Feed systems, focal arrays and BFN (low and high power, including PIM and multipactor issues).
7. Single/multiple reconfigurable beam space antennas
8. Multiple beam antennas using a single aperture.
9. Direct radiating arrays based antenna including sparse and thinned arrays.
10. Active and adaptive antennas and their equipments.
