Profit from Technology
27 Nov. 2007
Time: 10.00 a.m. 3.00 p.m.
Location: Aalborg University, Room A5-006, Niels Jernes vej 12, 9220 Aalborg East, Denmark.
This workshop is designed to give RF & microwave, SI and EMC engineers an insight into the latest 3D simulation technology for solving the most complex circuits, antennas and other components. Using the new version 2008 of CST MICROWAVE STUDIO®, attendees will get the chance to see how modern simulation technology can robustly import, simulate and optimize all electromagnetic issues associated with increasingly complex 3D passive designs including, antennas, board components and packages.
Topics to be covered include:
- Integration of 3D EM simulation into the design workflow
- Return loss, Near- and Far-field analysis, SAR of wireless devices
- EDA import, signal and power integrity, PCB simulation
- Circuit-EM co-simulation (e.g. antenna matching)
- Antenna placement, electrically large antennas, MLFMM-solver
- EMC/EMI issues
The workshop is free of charge. Refreshments will be served during the break. Advance on-line registration is requested.
