4th ESA International Workshop on Tracking, Telemetry and Command Systems for Space Applications
Telemetry, Tracking and Command systems are of fundamental importance in the space programmes. Recent developments in the areas of telecommunications, computing and electronics provide new capabilities in the design, functionality, operation and economics of TTC systems, both spaceborne and in the ground segment. The exploitation of new frequency bands is strongly demanded and also it is an attractive area for innovation and for increase of the space to ground link efficiency. The expansion of deep space applications introduces new questions and new challenges in system TTC design as well as new methods and architectures aimed at enhancing the benefits to the space projects community. The TTC 2007 workshop will be a forum where TTC equipment designers, system developers, added value system suppliers, operators, experts, universities and space agencies could openly discuss their ideas, share their experiences and formulate their questions on topics in the field. The workshop will also be the vehicle to identify the trends in the requirements, architectures and technologies to be considered in the coming years.
