Course on RF Transceiver Architecture, System Design, and Evaluation for Wireless Systems 22/10/2007 26/10/2007 Barcelona, Spain

COURSE CONTENT

This course provides engineering tools to architect, design, and test multifunction, multi-standard wireless systems. Specifications will be presented for many advanced wireless standards such as Edge, GSM, CDMA, CDMA2000, Wideband CDMA, 802.11, 802.16, and Bluetooth. The critical requirements will be highlighted for each system. The various transceiver configurations will be presented so that the appropriate one can be selected for a particular application. With a detailed knowledge of the transceiver requirements and transmit/receive circuit configurations and performance levels, detailed architecture of many multifunction/multi-standard systems types will be performed. Transceiver packaging, layout, interconnection, and shielding considerations will be presented. Actual transceiver elements will be shown including detailed testing and troubleshooting procedures.
